Make a Difference with a Degree in Medicine from Monash University, Australia

The medical profession is one of the most popular career options in India and abroad.   • b) TOEFL (paper-based) – 550
  • c) TOEFL (online) – 79
  • d) Pearson Test of English (Academic) – 58
  • e) CAE (Cambridge Assessment: English) – 176
  • f) CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English) – 176
  • If you are applying as an undergraduate, the requirements are as follows:

    – Completion of final year secondary school (or equivalent) including English

    – Completion of the International Baccalaureate (IB), including English

    – Completion of the New Zealand National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA), including English.

    – Completion of the Gaokao

    If shortlisted, applicants will be required to undertake an interview and a Situational Judgement Test (SJT).

    The course fee

    – The fee could range from $33,000 to $77,000 for an academic year of 48 credit points for an undergraduate degree, and $30,000 to $42,000 for a graduate degree depending on the charge per credit point.

    – International students with a student visa are required to have an Overseas Student Health Cover during their course in Australia.

    – Students with excellent academic achievements or those from disadvantaged backgrounds are rewarded scholarships. If you are a student in an honors program at the Alfred precinct in Melbourne, you could be awarded $6000 under the Alfred Research Alliance Honours Scholarship.

    Get a hands-on experience

    During their course Medicine, Nursing, and Health Sciences students obtain clinical experience at prominent Victorian hospitals such as Alfred Hospital, Monash Medical Centre, and Box Hill. Alternately, they gain research experience at internationally renowned institutes, including Prince Henry’s, Burnet, and the Cancer Council. Therefore, they gain industry experience as a core component of their course.
